Michael Bublé’s Argentinian Wife Thought He was Gay When They Met

According to a new UK interview with Canadian swoon-worthy crooner Michael Bublé’s wife, Luisana Lopilato, thought that Bublé was gay when they first met in 2009! The beautiful Argentinian model and actress (25), who, if you ask her, says her English needs “a little fixing”, talks about the night they met at his concert in Buenos Aires:

“I wanted to go to his show because I liked his songs, but I didn’t know what he looked like. He saw me in the car park but I  didn’t see him. Later, his people asked me – remember I  am a famous actress in my country – if I would like to have my picture taken with him and I said, “No  thank you.” I was there with my sister and a really handsome male actor friend I  worked with, and Michael came up and asked us to come to the after-show party. I didn’t speak English, but my male friend did and Michael was talking to him and saying things to him like, “Oh my God, look at your muscles.” I just thought he was gay; I rang my mum and said, “I am at a party with Michael Bublé, and he’s gay!”’

Bublé (36) has never had to “chase” a woman. Since his early days at the Vancouver hot spot Babalu where he was the hottest evening act around, dressed in a white dinner jacket singing the oldies, he had us all at “hello”, (Yes I was there, swooning with the rest). So it seems funny that according to his wife of over a year, Luisana, he was the one who did ‘the running’. Bublé, who didn’t speak a word of Spanish back then, found an interpreter at the party to tell her these parting words the night they met:

“As I left the party, he said to me, “You are my wife, you just don’t know it  yet.” And I said, “Of course you want me to be your wife, every man wants to  marry me, so we will have to see!”

Once the two met eachothers families (both Bublé’s are HUGE on family), love blossomed. Still going strong after 1 year of marriage, they stay in touch when he is touring and she is in her native Argentina using iChat. Even though Michael learned Spanish and proposed in front of her entire family in Spanish, Luisana now says:

“He tries – he is a bit lazy but in the future he will speak Spanish”

Well, sounds like they have a strong relationship, but there was one other habit Luisana picked out about Michael, she is neat and he, apparently, is not:

“I got so fed up with Michael leaving all his clothes lying on the floor that I threw them all in the swimming pool. I did it several times.”

Luisana says Michael is really working hard on that one and that she would love to have children before she starts an English speaking career. According to the interview, Michael loves children and wants “lots of them”, so it seems it won’t be long before there may be little Bublés running around.
