Kristen Stewart and Charlize Theron flip the bird to invisible ”Paparazzi“? Kristen wants to “make out with Charlize“? Well when in France I guess? While promoting SWATH in a recent candid interview session that has a more relaxed format than most we’ve seen (SEE VIDEO BELOW). The video was shot for a television show in France called “Le Grand Journal” in their segment “La Boite à Questions” (The Question Box) and is very off the cuff for these two as they look like they get along ‘famously’ even though they are sworn enemies in their new film Snow White and the Huntsman:
Avengers star Chris Hemsworth is a first time dad! Thor actor Hemsworth announced the birth of his first child, a baby girl, from London where he was promoting Snow White and the Huntsman.
Just in time for mother’s day, Chris, (28) and his Spanish wife Elsa Pataky, (35) have named the little bundle of joy India Rose. Congratulations to the happy new parents! The couple announced back in January that they were expecting, but they preferred to keep the sex of the baby a surprise. Having a girl might be novel to Hemsworth who grew up in a family with 3 boys, USA Today quotes him as saying:
“Coming from a family of three boys, my mother was very much a feminist. When we would call each other “girls,” she would say, ‘What is wrong with a girl?’ Girls can be strong and you have to respect that. And we should encourage more strong female leads in films.”
The couple married in Indonesia in 2010 after meeting through their management agency, (Elsa Pataky is also an actress appearing in Fast Five and Snakes on a Plane), the baby was born in London, reportedly on Friday May 11th. So the Thor star and his wife have a little Taurus on their hands. This makes the other famous Hemsworth, Hunger Games star Liam Hemsworth an uncle of course!
Recently, Chris Hemsworth was asked about being a dad while out promoting the Avengers (video below):

George Clooney is hosting a huge star-studded fundraiser at his house tonight with some pretty high falutin’ guests. POTUS himself will be in attendance, so as President Obama heads over to George’s Studio City home tonight, so will ALOT of security, hence, TMZ dubbing it ”the Fort Knox Treatment”.
Security, as reported by TMZ, is so tight “even the back-up has back-up.”! With Clooney even reportedly hiring a special security team to ensure his personal safety.
TMZ further states that LAPD is pulling out all the stops, highway patrolmen combined with Secret Service and even a Counter Terrorist Unit will be there to serve and protect.
The fundraiser itself is said to be a doozy! Catered by Wolfgang Puck himself, serving dinner to 150 very illustrious and lucky diners, it is expected to raise 15 million dollars according to the LA Times. High profile guesst include Robert Downey Jr., Barbra Streisand, Tobey Maguire and director-produce J.J. Abrams to name a few.
At $40,000 a ticket for the VIP list to attend, it’s no wonder (again from the LA Times):
Tens of thousands of Americans have contributed donations averaging $23 each for a chance to win a ticket to the soiree. Two winners and their guests will attend the party, where the president is expected to discuss policy in the low-key environment of Clooney’s canyon home over a dinner catered by Wolfgang Puck.
As for the extent of security measures TMZ reports:
we’re told roads will be closed off, bomb-sniffing dogs will be prowling, and plain clothes officers will be on the lookout.
Not bad for a “low-key” affair!
Sir Anthony Hopkins has started filming the highly anticipated new film Hitchcock, formerly titled Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho. The resemblance is uncanny in this photo of Hopkins as Hitch (Hopkins on the right). The 74 year old Oscar Winning actor will be joined by Oscar winning actress Dame Helen Mirren, who will be playing Hitchcock’s wife Alma along with an all star cast.
Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho is a book by Stephen Rebello, who was believed to be responsible for the last interview Hitchcock gave in 1980. After having his interview and writings from that fateful meeting published at length, Rebello turned his gem into a book sized study in 1990. In it, the author delves into the complicated but loving relationship of Hitchcock and his wife Alma during the period in the 60′s when Hitch was filming his low-budget and universally heralded film Psycho.
Fox Searchlight Pictures brings us this adaptation, and it is indeed one of the most talked about films of the year. Rumours prevail however that although Rebello’s book is non-fiction, the screenplay (which he worked on) might be a bit more “hollywoodized” to showcase the romance angle between Hitch and Alma. Fox Searchlight press release revealed:
HITCHCOCK is a love story about one of the most influential filmmakers of the last century, Alfred Hitchcock and his wife and partner Alma Reville. The film takes place during the making of Hitchcock’s seminal movie PSYCHO.
Not only do the two leads have enough clout to pack a few city blocks, the rest of the cast is smattered with stars, as the release continues:
The film will also star Scarlett Johansson (LOST IN TRANSLATION) as Janet Leigh, James D’Arcy (MASTER AND COMMANDER: THE FAR SIDE OF THE WORLD) as Anthony Perkins, Jessica Biel (THE ILLUSIONIST ) as Vera Miles, Michael Stuhlbarg (A SERIOUS MAN) as Lew Wasserman, Toni Collette (LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE) as Hitchcock’s secretary Peggy, Michael Wincott (THE COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO) as Ed Gein, Kurtwood Smith (TO DIE FOR) as Geoffrey Shurlock, Richard Portnow (GOOD MORNING VIETNAM) as Barney Balaban and Danny Huston (THE CONSTANT GARDENER) as Whitfield Cook.
Alfred Hitchcock led a fascinating life and has given us some of the most respected and brilliant films such as To Catch a Thief, Rear Window, The Man Who Knew Too Much, Vertigo and North By Northwest just to name a few.
I wonder if the film will touch on his strange appetite for cool blondes or his candid use of food and eating scenes to substitute for the underlying sexual desires of his characters. Well we’ll have to wait and see, as we are on the edge of our seats for this one. Release is scheduled for 2013. In true Hitchcockian tradition, the filming began on Friday the 13th in April of this year.
Emily Blunt isn`t even 30, yet she has a staggering film career under her belt, a talented husband John Krasinski, who`s every bit as funny as he is handsome, and a really level head on those British shoulders of hers. Blunt is seemingly unmarred by the Hollywood razzle dazzle, so it’s really no wonder she is cropping up in pretty much everything right now. Blunt pops up in the futuristic time-travelling thriller Looper, wears alot of flannel and improvises most of her dialog playing her part of an intriguing love triangle in Your Sister’s Sister, and dazzles as half of the engaged couple who cope with the ups and downs of planning a wedding (starring opposite Jason Segel) in the highly anticipated The Five Year Engagement opening this week. Not forgetting of course, the quirky romantic comedy in theatres right now in which Blunt stars opposite the lovely Ewan McGregor. Is there anything Emily Blunt isn’t in right now?
We are pleased to offer a few interesting tidbits that may enlighten some on this witty and endearing leading lady who can do no wrong, being the It girl right now in North America as well as her native Britian.
5 Things You Don’t Know about Emily Blunt:
1. From age 8 to 13 she spoke with a serious stutter. Although corrected eventually, Blunt says it still comes out to this day particularily with her family and husband more so than people she barely knows.

3. Was engaged to Canadian Singer Michael Buble. They were together from 2005 – 2008, even buying a house in Vancouver at one point.
